Over 750 swimmers in the Dynamo membership will now have access to high definition videotaping services. High school swimmers seeking athletic scholarships can now send action-packed resume disks to college recruiters and athletic directors around the country, bringing to life their practice regimens, swim meet performances, and athletic accomplishments and statistics. While many top-tier collegiate programs attend national meets to recruit the country’s top swimmers, not every school has the travel budget to identify talent outside their region…nor does every swimmer have the ability to visit all university swim programs on their wish list. That’s where American Sports Memories will step in to help.
“Competitive swimmers seeking athletic scholarships are looking for opportunities to showcase their skills and capabilities” said Steven Langer, Chief Executive Officer for American Sports Memories. “Our videography services use a variety of high definition and underwater cameras to spotlight and differentiate what Dynamo swimmers can offer to collegiate swim programs around the country. These videotaping services support an affordable and time-efficient quest for athletic scholarships that may have been missed opportunities in the past.”
Swim programs often stress lap volume and repetition in an effort to produce competitive results. Dynamo relies on a variety of land-based techniques blended with advanced stroke exercises and progressions to produce a steady stream of swimmers ready for the national stage. Videographers from American Sports Memories utilize high definition cameras and underwater equipment to illustrate these practice regimens with creative angles and unique perspectives, which lead to crisply edited video resumes for college recruiters.
Younger Dynamo swimmers and their parents will also benefit from the new relationship with American Sports Memories. Instead of watching their children compete through the lens of a camera, parents now enjoy high-definition videotaping services of their children’s swim meets taken by experienced videographers. Parents can also submit their own photos and raw video footage from past athletic events and receive professional video editing services from American Sports Memories. “Our goal is to produce personalized sports highlight videos that student athletes, families, and friends will watch time and again” said Langer.
“We are excited about Dynamo’s new relationship with American Sports Memories” noted Jason Turcotte, CEO and Head Coach of Dynamo Swim Club. “This is a great opportunity to enhance our program for swimmers and parents alike. The athlete, now more than ever, has to recruit the University of their choice as much or more than that University recruits the athlete.” As part of the relationship, American Sports Memories will contribute a portion of the proceeds back to the Dynamo Swim Club in support of scholarships, equipment upgrades, and facility maintenance.
